holy hell. med school is DAMN HARD. they don't call it "drinking from the firehose of knowledge" for nothing!! i haven't left my apartment all day; been studying nonstop! wish me luck on tomorrow morning's histology quiz!

wow... so my journal entries are certainly few and far between. i'm currently moving into my new abode in the bronx... and on monday i start orientation for MED SCHOOL! thus begins the long road to becoming a doctor. i'm heartbroken to leave my neighborhood... the fabulously trendy williamsburg, brooklyn, but at least most of my friends have agreed to let me crash on their couches during those late nights out in NYC on weekends. :)
what else... i went to spain, which was super hot and fabulous. also, i've been doing lots and lots of dancing this summer... getting into really good dancing shape, though it's not going to prove too useful since i'm unlikely to be able to do much dancing while in school! hopefully i can take class once a week or so. i've been taking ballet and modern at mark morris, and i had a fabulous time learning excerpts from l'allegro, il penseroso ed il moderato during the summer intensive.
i guess that's all for now... :) enjoy all of the shameless plugs :)

huh. well, i sort of forgot i had this LJ, so i guess i should probably update it. here's what's been up.
*GOT INTO MED SCHOOL! out of 20 schools, one school deemed me worthy of matriculation. what up, albert einstein! i'll see you in august! hope there are some MS1 hotties in my class :)
*have been a witness to many of my friends' breakups and marriages. in the last couple of months there have been at least 3 breakups and 3 marriages that come to mind. (one of the breakups was from one of the marriages... hmmm.)
*have been satisfied with life - at least i have not been part of those aforementioned relationships in turmoil. a bit lonely, but when i don't watch hugh grant movies it's way better. (of course, as i type this i'm watching "love actually" for like the 1000000th time.)
*sold my pilates studio... happy now flat belly. luckily that means i will have some free time this summer. still teaching at power pilates, however.
*taking a trip this summer, TBA.

well, applications are out. the essay is written, the credit card has been charged, and applications are out to albert einstein, BU, columbia, drexel, george washington university, georgetown, jefferson, mt. sinai, new york medical college, NYU, temple, university of vermont, tufts, UMDNJ-robert wood johnson, UMDNJ-new jersey medical, UCSF, university of colorado, penn, cornell. maybe someone will want me. now all i have to do is rock the MCAT and i'll be on the right track. this is kind of fun...
